Google Shopper for Android Now Available

There is a new app on the Android market that lets you quickly find product information.  Google Shopper utilizes your camera to scan product info then it returns search results so you can find specs, prices and reviews.  Shopper is able to scan CD, DVD and art covers along with product bar codes.  If you don’t have any of these handy that’s no problem, simply speak the name of the product into your phone and the results will follow.

Once you find the product you are looking for you can star it and save it as a favorite.  You can also share the product with friends and Google Shopper will automatically save it in your history so you can easily access it at a later time.  We’ve seen apps like this for the iPhone and BlackBerry but neither of them are backed by Google.  You can expect this application to be a handy tool for years to come.
